MIC Youth: Mahathir using Anwar for political agenda

KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is merely using Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to achieve his political agenda.

MIC National Youth leader, C. Sivarraajh (pix) said that Dr Mahathir will not stop until he could topple Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak at any cost.

Referring to the former prime minister's attendance in court yesterday, as a show of support for Anwar, he said political expediency was at play and to the highest order.

"Does Dr Mahathir have no honour, no principles and no ideology?

"He maintains that Anwar was morally unfit to succeed him and did so for 18 long years, but now all of a sudden he is lowering himself, almost prostrating himself before Anwar," he said in a statement here, today.

Sivarraajh added that since Parti Pribumi was going nowhere, Dr Mahathir only wanted Anwar's Pakatan Harapan as a network of supporters to support his party.

Dr Mahathir and Anwar met at the High Court yesterday where the latter had a case relating to the National Security Council Act. — Bernama
