RapidKL offers free three-day LRT pass as apology for service disruptions

PETALING JAYA: Commuters will be given a free three-day pass to ride Rapid KL's LRT Kelana Jaya line as an apology for two major service disruptions that happened recently.
The Kelana Jaya LRT line had suffered major service disruptions last Wednesday due to a power failure, causing a major congestion during rush hour, and a similar problem occurred just days later leaving commuters stranded and late to work.
In response to the inconvenience suffered, the company announced that on Sept 13, 14 and 15, all train services on the Kelana Jaya LRT line will be free of charge, as a token of apology to the commuters for the disruptions experienced.
While the ride will be free on the entire Kelana Jaya line, commuters on other lines or those changing lines will be charged the difference.
Commuters flooded RapidKL's Twitter account to rant their frustrations – many complaining of arriving late for work, while several were furious over the disrepancy between the first and second tweet that extended the delay from 15 minutes to over an hour.
