IJNF disburses RM3.5m aid to 124 heart patients in 2015

KUALA LUMPUR: Charity organisation affiliated with the National Heart Institute, IJN Foundation (IJNF), has disbursed financial aid of approximately RM3.5 million to 124 heart patients seeking treatment and surgery over the past year.
IJNF, in a joint statement with poultry egg producer, QL Resources Bhd (QL), today said the financial aid was to subsidise the medical expenses of poor, needy and deserving patients.
"IJN Foundation relies heavily on donations from caring organisations and individuals to ensure sufficient funds are available when required," the statement said.
Meanwhile, the third edition of the "Good Heart" campaign organised by IJNF and QL, targets a collection of RM100,000 this year.
According to the statement, QL would donate 50 sen to the campaign for every pack of QL Omega eggs or QL Deli Fresh sold in September and October.
A minimum of 200,000 packs of eggs with the campaign's "Good Heart" logo have been distributed for sale throughout Peninsular Malaysia during the campaign period. — Bernama
