KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has started its second phase of grouting injection works at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2).
In a statement today, MAHB said the works were already 20% completed.
It said the completed areas covered eight locations, of which four were on the parking apron and another four on the taxiways.
"Grouting injection remains the method of choice as it provides less disruption to the terminal operations," MAHB said.
It said maintenance works for Phase 1 had been completed, covering 49 locations in klia2.
"In Phase 2, we will extend the grouting injection method to 40 locations, including several newly identified areas and a few areas that had been maintained in 2015," it said.
Works in Phase 2 is aimed at further improving the occurrence of pavement depressions, MAHB said, adding that it remains committed in ensuring the safety of operations at all its airports. — Bernama
