Johor nabs 46 illegal immigrants in Pengerang

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Immigration Department detained 46 illegal immigrants during an operation in Pengerang near Kota Tinggi yesterday.
In the 11.30am operation dubbed 'Ops Sapu', the 38 men and eight women were picked up in Kampung Sungai Kapal.
Department head, Masri Adul said the illegals aged between 19 and 50, included eight Indonesian women, eight Indian men, seven Pakistanis and 11 Bangladeshi men.
"They were caught for committing various offences, such as overstaying and not having valid travel documents," he said in a statement here today.
Masri said the raids were carried out when the illegal immigrants were working or operating illegal business. — Bernama
