More no-smoking zones

KANGAR: The Perlis state government will be gazetting more public areas in the state as no-smoking zones, said state Health Committee chairman, Jafperi Othman.
According to him, this is in addition to the areas already gazetted earlier, including government offices, public transport terminals, places of worship and air-conditioned restaurants.
He said in its initial stage, three public areas identified to be gazetted early next year were recreational forest areas under the State Forestry Department, a recreational park of the Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS) as well as farmers' markets under the state Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama). – Bernama
