Thunderstorms expected to persist until noon

    KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms in the waters of West Johor, Sarawak (Rejang), Labuan and Sabah (interior and Tawau) are expected to persist until noon today.

    The Meteorological Department said in a statement today that the condition could result in strong winds of up to 50km per hour and choppy sea with waves reaching up to 3.5m high and dangerous to small boats.
    A similar situation would also occur in the waters of the South Malacca Straits, Bunguran, Condore, Reef North, Layang-layang, Labuan and Sulawesi, the statement added. — Bernama
