Bina Puri bags Rapid contract worth RM18m

    PETALING JAYA: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Bina Puri Sdn Bhd has accepted the letter of award from Punj Lloyd Sdn Bhd for an RM18 million contract involving building plant & non-plant (Part A) for Package-22 of the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development project (Rapid) project.
    The works will be completed within 11 months. The scope of work includes civil, structural and architectural works for buildings, pump stations and foundation of vessel & packages.
    This is the second contract awarded by Punj Lloyd and the fourth under Rapid in Johor.
    The latest award brings the group’s unbuilt book orders to RM2.02 billion. The project is expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings of the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2016.
    “Bina Puri will see its involvement in many more construction projects this year outlined by the government in Budget 2016 and the 11th Malaysia Plan,” Bina Puri group executive director Matthew Tee said in a statement.
