PETALING JAYA: The recent massive water disruption in Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang and Kuala Langat districts has now moved towards full recovery.
As at 1pm today, Kuala Langat has recorded a recovery of 100%, while Sepang, Hulu Langat and Petaling were at 99.7%, 93% and 89% recovery respectively.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor corporate communication chief Amin Lin Abdullah said water tankers had been deployed to premises in areas that are still affected by the disruption.
"Consumers can receive the current status on water supply through the mySYABAS smartpone application and by going to www.syabas.com.my," he said in a statement.
Several areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang and Kuala Langat had experienced disruption in water services due to the closure of the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant on Sept 22, 23 and 24.
The plant, which was shut down due to contamination, resumed operations on Sept 24.
