Teen feared drowned after falling into river

KUANTAN: A teenage student of an Arabic and Al-Quran school here is feared drowned after he slipped and fell into the Kuantan River, near the Isap Damai River housing area here yesterday.
Alif Lokman Hakim Azman, 13, fell into the river while walking along its bank about 6.30pm.
A search and rescue (SAR) operation was underway, Indera Mahkota Fire and Rescue Department operations chief, Mohd Hilmi Kashfi told reporters here today.
He said the SAR operation involved, among others, an underwater rescue team and four from the scuba unit. — Bernama
