ACP Thiew Hock Poh appointed as the new Seremban police chief

SEREMBAN: Former Bukit Aman Strategic Resources and Technology Department Principal Assistant Director (Procurement), ACP Thiew Hock Poh has been appointed as the new Seremban district police chief, succeeding SAC Muhamad Zaki Harun, effective today.
Thiew, 50, said he was determined to retain the impressive achievement in reducing the crime rate in the district and pledged to ensure that the state capital would be a safe district.
"I will execute my duties according to the law and give my best service to the public," he told reporters after the handing over of duties ceremony which was witnessed by the Negri Sembilan Police chief DCP Datuk Jaafar Mohd Yusof, here, today.
Thiew admitted that the task was not easy, but with the cooperation of all officers and personnel, he was confident that everything would run smoothly.
The same ceremony also saw Muhamad Zaki, 52, taking over over duty as the new Negri Sembilan police deputy chief, effective today, succeeding DCP Datuk T. Narenasagaran, 56, who has been transferred to the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman on promotion as deputy director of management (training). — Bernama
