IPOH: The spirit of Deepavali is already in the air as stalls are already being set up at Little India here to cater to the Indian community to shop for their Deepavali items and other household goods.
The stalls will operate from Oct 15 to 29 with shoppers being entertained by cultural shows from Oct 21 to 27.
This is the 25th year the event had been organised by Ipoh Barat MIC division.
This year it is jointly organised by the division and Ipoh Little India Traders Association.
Division chairman Datuk G. Rajoo said a total of 120 stalls had been taken up.
"Last year some 300,000 people visited the event and we are expecting more visitors this time around," he added.
