    Najib: Thorough probe to identify cause of HSA fire

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will conduct a thorough investigation soonest possible to identify the cause of the fire at the Intensive Care Unit of Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) in Johor Baru, today.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak said the government would also increase security level at the hospital.
"Sad to hear the news of some (patients) killed in the fire. Condolences to the families of the victims killed in the Sultanah Aminah Hospital fire," he said in his Facebook and Twitter posting.
Najib also said that the police, Health Ministry, and Fire and Rescue personnel were managing the situation at the scene of the incident.
Six patients perished in the fire that broke out just before 9am today at the ICU south ward, second floor, HSA.
State Fire and Rescue Department director, Othman Abdullah said 166 fire-fighters in 10 fire trucks were rushed to HSA after the emergency call was received. — Bernama
