Kelantan state assembly expresses condolence to families of victims in HSA fire

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan State Assembly today expressed its condolence to the families of the six patients who were killed in a fire which broke out at an intensive care unit (ICU) on the second floor of the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) in Johor Baru today.
The message of condolence was conveyed by State Assembly Speaker Datuk Abdullah Ya'kub, before the debate session on the 2017 State Budget began.
"We express our condolences to the families of the victims in the fire at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor, today," he said.
Meanwhile, Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob also conveyed his condolence to the families of victims involved in the incident.
"Hopefully, all quarters can remain calm and we pray that this mishap can be addressed adequately," he added.
The fire, which broke out at about 9am, resulted in the deaths of six patients at the intensive care unit. They were among the seven patients in the southern ICU on the second floor of the hospital.
