FOR more than four decades, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) has proven to have nurtured many highly-qualified and skilled business leaders in Malaysia.
This is indeed a well-known fact and can be attested to by the fact that the institution has produced many business leaders over the years comprising chief financial officers, accountants, industry captains as well as successful entrepreneurs.
This excellent track record can mainly be attributed to its Faculty of Accountancy, Finance and Business (FAFB) which has provided the students with excellent teaching as well as highly-accredited programmes by global and national professional bodies.
Apart from delivering teaching in the classrooms, students are also encouraged to broaden their knowledge and develop hands-on skills by taking part in various industry competitions.
Throughout the years, TAR UC's FAFB students are known to have achieved top placings in these competitions, serving as testament to the industry-relevant and professionally-driven programmes provided by the faculty. This outstanding track record of student achievement continued to extend in 2016 with numerous top awards acquired in a total of seven competitions.
One notable achievement is the win in the PNB 1Malaysia Investment Quiz Competition where TAR UC's FAFB students emerged Champion. Bachelor of Finance and Investment (Hons) students, Yuan Ting Jing, Seow Chun Pin and Kok Soong Yang beat 29 other institutions to rise to the top.
