APPLE is gearing up for the new generation of its iPhone. However, the release of the anticipated iPhone 8 might be delayed beyond September due to 3D sensing technology issues.
The iPhone 8 is expected to arrive with 5.8-inh OLED display. This feature will only be offered in the new iPhone.
"Our contact strongly believes the 5.8-inch iPhone will be delayed by several weeks due to challenges around the 3D sensing technology but still in time for the December holidays," The Indian Express quoted Drexel Hamilton analyst Brian White as saying.
The use of 3D sensing technology in iPhone 8 fuels reports claiming that the company has a growing interest in augmented reality space. The new iPhone is expected to introduce a number of advanced facial recognition features, including 3D selfies in its 3D camera.
