(Video) Selfless youth saves dog from drowning in monsoon drain

A SELFLESS youth put the life of a dog ahead of his own safety by jumping into large monsoon drain in Kampung Jawa, Kuantan to save the helpless canine.
His courageous deed was captured on video and shared on Facebook on April 7.
In the 26-second clip shot by Facebook user Ivy Teo, the youth clung to the railings with one hand as he tried to lift dog out of danger, using his legs.
He managed to hold on to the dog and pull it out of the water with the help of a friend.
Teo said the dog had fallen into the drain after it tried to evade an oncoming car.
"On that day, there were quite a number of dogs near the monsoon drain. The white dog fell into the drain after it was startled by a vehicle. Due to the depth it had to keep swimming to stay afloat," Sin Chew Daily quoted her as saying.
