MNC Wireless, M3 Tech to develop e-commerce platform in DFTZ

    PETALING JAYA: MNC Wireless Bhd is partnering M3 Technologies (Asia) Bhd (M3 Tech) to develop an e-commerce platform with integrated payment gateway solutions and end-to-end logistics support to operate in the Malaysia Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ).
    MNC Wireless and M3Tech shares fell half a sen each to close at 8 sen yesterday.
    MNC Wireless is a specialised digital marketing technology solutions provider, while M3Tech is a specialised mobile value-added services provider with hardware capabilities.
    In a joint press release yesterday, MNC Wireless said the project will comprise a business-to-business-focused trading platform for manufacturers to connect with international buyers, and a consumer-to-consumer-focused trading platform supporting smaller-scale entrepreneurs to sell through online platforms.
    MNC Wireless CEO Christopher Tan Chor How said the DFTZ will allow local SMEs and entrepreneurs to access the Asean market as its serves as the gateway to the region, thereby allowing their products to tap wider markets.
    Meanwhile, M3Tech general manager Kevin Ng Chen Lok said the DFTZ will encourage, especially traditional brick-and-mortar businesses run by SMEs, a seamless transition into the e-commerce sphere and trade across Asean countries and the world.
    In addition, MNC Wireless said, the online marketing platforms services will be available to merchants via in-house online marketing platforms.
