LIVING in a knowledge intensive world and what is now called the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where the internet of things, wearable technologies and artificial intelligence are some of the technologies impacting the way we work, live and play – it becomes essential for workers to continuously gain new knowledge and up-skill.
These workers cannot and do not want to go through an entire academic programme, but are more interested to gain specific knowledge to move up their respective career ladders.
The Asia e University (AeU) School of Professional & Executive Education (SPEED) provides programmes which are compatible with students' lifestyles and the flexibility needed for working adults to continue their education while managing their family responsibilities.
SPEED was established to meet industry demand for continuing professional development through its executive development courses.
The courses are designed with industry experts to specifically meet industry needs while giving special attention to lifelong learning to meet market demand in niche areas which are often neglected.
The school has designed innovative and topical programmes for people of different backgrounds to pursue their lifelong learning ventures.
An array of both professional training programmes and executive courses await people who are hungry for continuing professional development.
The programmes are designed to be innovative, flexible with informed global perspectives, impactful learning experiences and best educational practices.
Trainers are professionals with rich industry experiences who inculcate and reinforce confidence and self-empower-ment for executives to be forward looking to take their relevant industries to new heights.
AeU is working closely with SPEED partners and STEER (School of Technical Education, Engineering & Reskilling) in developing and offering the latest and up-to-date knowledge and skills which in turn will upgrade the students' competencies in their workplace.
Three students who are enrolled in SPEED's Executive Master programmes participated in the 3rd National Invention, Innovation & Design competition and won Gold in the Innovative category, Overall Champion in the Best of the Best and the Young Investors Medal.
Established under the Asia Cooperation Dialogue, AeU is able to offer Malaysian degrees internationally through the distance learning mode.
SPEED as a dedicated school of professional and executive development is able to offer its courses internationally and contribute towards making Malaysia an education hub. The school is preparing to offer nano, micro and mini certificates in the near future.
