PETALING JAYA: A supplier is suing YKGI Holdings Bhd for RM1.17 million in relation to its licence agreement to supply, installation and commission of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
The company said it has received the writ of summons and statement of claim dated April 13, 2017 filed by Datapreneur Sdn Bhd.
The issue is over a licence agreement for an ERP system between YKGI and Datapreneur, which Datapreneur claims was successfully supplied, installed and commissioned. The RM1.17 million in the suit is for payment of the system and other costs.
YKGI, however, claims that Datapreneur failed to deliver a functional ERP system. It said Datapreneur terminated the agreement, which it considers an unlawful act and amounts to a repudiatory breach. YKGI intends to defend itself and file a counterclaim against Datapreneur.
