Dior celebrates Ginza Six store opening with two Tokyo fashion shows

THE French fashion house has jetted off to Japan where the label opens a new store, Thursday, April 20, in Ginza Six, a spectacular luxury shopping mall in central Tokyo. Dior is celebrating the opening with two fashion shows in the Japanese capital - a couture show and a men's show.
A major commercial complex for luxury retail opens in Tokyo, Thursday, April 20. While more accessible brands like adidas, Petit Bateau and Converse will open stores in the Ginza Six development, they will rub shoulders with major names from the world of luxury and designer fashion, including Céline, Valentino, Fendi and Saint Laurent.
Dior is set to open a major new outlet in the upmarket mall, an event that the French label is celebrating with two fashion shows on the eve of the store's opening.
The spring/summer 2017 haute-couture collection, presented in January in Paris, will be showcased in Tokyo in a live show. For the occasion, Maria Grazia Chiuri has enriched her collection with new silhouettes inspired by Japan. In parallel, Kris Van Assche will unveil the Fall 17 Dior Homme men's collection in an exclusive preview.
The Dior boutique at Ginza Six will have men's and women's ready-to-wear plus accessories departments, over several floors.
Ginza Six will house more than 240 stores, including Céline, Valentino, Belstaff, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Paul Smith, Moschino, Maison Margiela, Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti. — AFP Relaxnews
