All 94 PLUS operated highways go fully electronic

KUALA LUMPUR: All 94 toll plazas on all PLUS-operated highways have switched to a fully electronic system.
PLUS Malaysia Berhad managing director Datuk Azman Ismail said that starting Wednesday, no more cash toll payments will be accepted and PLUS highway users are required to pay toll electronically via PLUSMiles, Touch 'n Go card or SmartTAG.
"This will contribute to smoother and faster toll transactions at all plazas," he told reporters here after overseeing the operations for the Juru-Skudai (North-South highway/Elite) here.
Azman said the fully electronic use at all 94 tolls nationwide, which started in stages since 2008, received positive feedback from motorists.
He added that sales and top-up lanes will be opened to enable the public to purchase their electronic cards upon entering the highway. PLUSMiles cards are also available at all Plus' customer service centres at selected toll plazas.
