KUALA LUMPUR: Ibrahim Mat Zin, also known as Raja Bomoh had confessed and repented for the offence of insulting Islam at the office of the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi), here, today.
The 66-year-old in his confessional statement also apologised to all Muslims and non-Muslims in the country as well as parties globally in relation to his usage of "bamboo binoculars" and coconuts to apparently help solve some of the events and major issues that occurred in Malaysia, including the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.
He stated that all his actions including the usage of bamboo binoculars and coconuts were directed by certain individuals that he is unable to reveal.
His confession was witnessed by Federal Territories Mufti Datuk Dr Zulkifli Al Bakri; Jawi director Abdul Aziz Jusoh and Jawi's chief religious enforcement officer Wan Ahmad Wan Jaapar.
Earlier, Ibrahim pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 7 (a) of the Syariah Criminal Offenses (Federal Territories) Act 1997 (Act 559) for insulting Islam or bringing Islam into disrepute.
Ibrahim had been arrested by police last Friday in Segamat after he had emerged to conduct his signature ritual to "protect" Malaysia from North Korea following the assassination of Kim Jong-Nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kin Jong-Un.
He was released on police bail after having his statement taken down.
