ALOR STAR: PAS is targeting five states in the next general election said Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
The PAS deputy president said the five states are Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Selangor.
He also said the Islamist party is ready to lead Selangor if the result in the next general election favoured it.
"Right now, we actually lead the state because we have 15 seats, and PKR only has 13. But we gave way to PKR to lead," he told a press conference after officiating the PAS Youth muktamar today.
He said the party will not work with DAP and Amanah to form the next Selangor government even if PAS was in a position to help either of them.
Tuan Ibrahim said as things stood, PAS was still cooperating with the PKR but said this could change if its Syura council decided to sever ties with the PKR.
"We will decide on the next move should relations with PKR end," he said.
He also urged other opposition parties not to contest the seats the party held in Selangor and other states as PAS has a strong support base.
