RMN Hospital first Islamic military hospital in country

    LUMUT: The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Lumut Base 96 Hospital Angkatan Tentera (HAT) became the first military hospital in the country to help Muslims understand Islam better.
    Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said the concept would help patients, families, visitors and others who want to study Islam better.
    "Medical officers and hospital staff will provide information on ways of performing ablution and encourage patients to read the Quran," he told reporters after officiating the Hospital Mesra Ibadah, 96 Hospital Angkatan Tentera (HAT), Lumut base, here today.
    Meanwhile, 96 HAT Lumut Commanding Officer, Brigadier General Datuk Dr Zakaria Awang said the concept for the hospital was formed after it was found that only a small number of patients focused on medicine to cure their ailments. — Bernama
