150 Seremban police staff join blood donation drive

SEREMBAN: One hundred and fifty Seremban district police employees participated in a blood donation campaign at NSK wholesale market here today.
Seremban police chief ACP Thiew Hock Poh said the event from 10 am to 4pm was among the programmes of the 210th Police Day celebrations this year at Seremban district level.
He said apart from police personnel, more than 350 NSK Wholesale Market employees and visitors also joined in the blood donation drive.
“The programme is a social responsibility of police staff and members of the public to assist Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban (HTJS) replenish its blood supply.
“It is hoped the noble effort will be emulated by other members of the public to assist injured victims who needed blood transfusion and other contingencies,” he told reporters here.
Also present were HTJS Dermatology Department medical officer Dr M. Kanmani and NSK Trading Sdn Bhd director Datuk Chiew Lian Keng.
