Assistant warden allegedly involved in Thaqif's death released on court bond

KOTA TINGGI: A former assistant warden of a religious school who was allegedly involved in the death of Mohamad Thaqif Amin, a tahfiz school student, was released on court bond by the magistrate's court here today.
The 29-year-old suspect allegedly used a hose to discipline a group of religious boarding schoolboys, including Thafiq, at Kampung Lukut, here on March 24.
He was arrested on April 22 and his remand order expired yesterday.
Judge Salawati Djambari set a RM20,000 bond in one surety under Section 118 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
