Malaysia, Bahrain ink air services agreement and four MoU

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia and Bahrain today inked an air services agreement and four memorandums of understanding (MoU) in the field of defence, small and medium enterprises (SME), oil and gas as well as commerce at the federal administrative capital here.
The air services agreement and MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak and visiting King Hamad Isa Al Khalifa at the Seri Perdana here today.
The air services agreement was signed between Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and Bahrain Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid Ahmed Mohamed Al Khalifa.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein signed the MoU on Defence Cooperation and Exchanges with Bahrain Defence Force General Diyab Saqer Alnoaimi.
The MoU on small and medium Enterprises (SME) and industrial cooperation was signed between International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Bahrain Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed R. Alzayani.
Another MoU signed was related to the upstream and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) cooperation between Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) and National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA Holdings).
The MoU was signed between Petronas chief executive officer Datuk Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin and Bahrain Oil Minister Shaikh Mohamed Khalifa Ahmed Al Khalifa.
The MoU between Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and Malaysia's National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCIM) was signed between NCCIM president Datuk Ter Leong Yap and BCCI chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Khalil Almoayed.
The Prime Minister hosted a dinner in honour of King Hamad’s state visit to Malaysia after the agreements signing ceremony.
King Hamad Isa Al Khalifa arrived here Sunday for a four-day visit at the invitation of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V. — Bernama
