Johor to launch two projects for entrepreneurs

JOHOR BARU: Two projects will be launched by the Johor government soon for the benefit of Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the state.
Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin (pix) said the projects are the construction of 30 units of factories for small and medium industries and the Persada Annex in the Johor Bahru.
The factory project, to built on a 1.86ha site in Kampung Pasir Gudang Baru here, involved an allocation of RM25 million from the Finance Ministry and channeled through SME Corporation, he said.
He said the project would be developed by Johor Corporation (JCorp) under the 11th Malaysia Plan.
As for the Persada Annex project, he said, it was scheduled for completion in the middle of next year and would provide more than 200 business spaces for bumiputera entrepreneurs.

A ground-breaking ceremony for the Persada Annex project, costing RM43 million, would be held on May 16 beside the Johor International Convention Centre (Persada), he added.
Mohamed Khaled said this at a media conference at a programme for entrepreneurs in conjunction with PKS Week here last night.
