MALACCA: Motorists are encouraged to use federal roads which have various facilities and attractions.
Works Minister Datuk Fadillah Yusof said the FT Roadpedia Roadshow Programme, Southern Zone, was an effort by the ministry to attract more motorists to use federal roads as the route of choice to their destinations.
"Today, the public has the perception that private highways are the main thoroughfares, when they are actually alternative routes. Private highways are actually the routes of choice for motorists who want to get to their destinations fast," he told reporters after a stop-over at the Batang Tiga Mosque as part of the roadshow programme near here today.
The FT Roadpedia Roadshow, Southern Zone is being held from May 7- 9, involving a distance of 688km through Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor.
