TAIWANESE Dina Huang Chih Yung, who was allegedly captured in a viral video last December attacking a taxi driver and a security officer, has been hauled to court.
The 30-year-old is accused of attempting to assault cabby Cheng Teck Wei by trying to hit and bite him at a posh condominium in Singapore around 11pm on Dec 7 last year. Huang also faces charges of assaulting security officer Jeiv Anay Alimithu by biting, hitting and kicking her at the same place that evening.
Two video footages of the well-dressed woman attacking the taxi driver Cheng Teck Wei and security guard Jeiv Anay Alimithu went viral five months ago. The security guard had tried to intervene in the altercation.
The first video, which lasts more than three minutes, shows her tussling with the man. The second shows her attacking the guard.
If found guilty, Huang will be fined up to S$5,000 (RM15,509) and jailed up to two years. And if convicted of being verbally abusive, for each count she can be jailed up to six months and fined S$5,000.
