Tekun has channelled RM4.72b to entrepreneurs from 1998

KUALA LUMPUR: Tekun Nasional has through its schemes and since establishment in 1998, channelled RM4.72 billion to some 388,233 entrepreneurs in the country.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Baharom Embi said proved that Tekun had proven its abilities in assisting the entrepreneurs to obtain capital financing to improve businesses.
In a statement today, he said, the achievement was in line with Tekun's aspiration and goals in providing micro financing and support to entrepreneurship development.
This assistance and support has helped entrepreneurs boost businesses besides increasing revenue and subsequently, their economy.
"Now, Tekun is more practical and has more financing choices for target groups," he added.
Meanwhile, Tekun also received international accreditation from the Association of Development Financing Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) in developing successful entrepreneurs under the "SME Development - Successful Entrepreneur" category at the ADFIAP Awards 2017 held in Macao, China, on May 10.
ADFIAP is an oraganisation with 121 banks and financial development institutions from 45 countries around Asia and the Pacific. — Bernama
