Excavator mishap crushes man at construction site

KUALA LUMPUR: A man met with a tragic death after an excavator collapsed at a construction site at Jalan Kapas, Bukit Bandaraya here today.
According to sources at the Fire and Rescue department, the 31-year-old victim was driving the excavator when it collapsed, turned turtle and crushed him.
"The fire and rescue team managed to pull him out of the wreckage and rushed him to hospital," said the source.
"When the team arrived at the site, the excavator had fallen into a hole on the site thus crushing the man," he added.
The source said the hospital confirmed that the man, a local from Puchong, died on site.
