Police barracks among flood-hit premises in Cameron Highlands

    CAMERON HIGHLANDS: Eleven houses, including three police barracks at the Ringlet Police Station, and a fashion store in Kampung Baru Ringlet here, were inundated by floodwaters after the Ringlet river overflowed due to heavy rains yesterday.
    Cameron Highlands District Police Chief DSP Hasadid A Hamid said 32 people, including eight from three police families were affected by the floods.
    "Also damaged were their five vehicles, including a motorcycle.
    "The waters did not affect the Ringlet Police station, but three police barracks, including the home of the Ringlet Police chief was affeceted," he said in a statement. — Bernama
