A Bright new stout

BEER lovers in Malaysia are in for a treat as Guinness has just rolled out the Guinness Bright, a brand-new stout just for our local market.
Infused with roasted flavours of invigorating coffee, piquant ginger, and a tangy refreshing taste of lemongrass extract, the new black brew offers a smooth and fresh take that is nothing like you've ever tasted before.
Guinness Bright is a new addition to Guinness' lineup of award-winning stouts.
Crafted exclusively for Malaysia, Guinness Bright was developed in partnership between brewers at Heineken Malaysia and Guinness' Open Gate Brewery in Dublin. It is not available anywhere else in the world.
Launched for the very first time in the market at The Quad in TREC, Malaysians had the opportunity to give this new stout a try at a temporary set-up of the Guinness Bright Bar.
Guinness lovers will be able to spot a striking new look which incorporates the bright colours of turquoise and gold on their favourite bottled beverage.
Speaking at the launch, Heineken Malaysia marketing director Maud Meijiboom van Wel said that Guinness Bright will appeal to the younger consumers as it is a fresher version of the iconic stout that Malaysians have been so familiar with for over 20 years.
Heineken Malaysia Guinness and Diageo brand marketing manager Nick Larkworthy added that the new stout is unlike anything they've brewed at Guinness before.
"The smooth, fresh taste and unique flavour profile make Guinness Bright a more approachable stout with a refreshing taste, perfect for those who wouldn't normally
consider themselves as stout fans," he said.
"Stout lovers won't be disappointed either, as more than 250 years of craft, expertise, and know-how of brewing incredible stout have been brought to beat in
the creation of Guinness Bright."
Also present at the launch were sales director Andrew Woon, corporate affairs and legal director Renuka Indrarajah, Diageo Asia Pacific head of beer innovation Somnath Dasgupta, Guinness senior brand manager Julie Kuan, Guinness brand manager Lawrence Acanufa Jr, and Guinness assistant brand manager Fiona Huang.
Available in 325ml bottles and 320ml cans, Guinness Bright can be found at bars, pubs, restaurants, coffeeshops and supermarkets across Peninsular and East Malaysia.
Bottled at 4.5% for a smooth finish, Guinness Bright will complement the existing line-up of Guinness Draught and Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.
The new stout is intended as a permanent addition to the range of brews on offer in Malaysia.
