GEORGE TOWN: The heavily bandaged hand of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng roused the curiousity of reporters during a recent press conference.
Asked about the matter, the two term Penang government head said he underwent an operation on Monday to repair ligament damage.
Lim, who is 57 years old this year, said the damage was due to his age and to "wear and tear".
He said the bandage, which encompasses the ring finger, the palm and the wrist, was to provide support for the damaged part.
He laughed off the suggestion that the damage was due to him banging the table during discussions.
