PETALING JAYA: Great Heart Charity Association (GHCA) recently partnered with 70 volunteers from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to bring the Earth Warriors Project, an environmental awareness project by GHCA to Pantai Cunang, Tanjung Sepat.

The Earth Warriors Project hopes to bring awareness to the younger generation about environmental conservation with their message — protect our earth, for today and a better tomorrow.
Cleanup activities are conducted every weekend and two to three times annually, in public parks and streets respectively.
The students were joined by eight volunteers from GHCA, that was led by social worker Tiu Kok Peng, who also led a mass street clean-up activity with over 2,200 participants from the public in October 2016.
The group of volunteers gathered approximately 20 bags filled with rubbish, mostly comprised of polystyrene, plastic bottles, and plastic bags, which littered 40% of the beach.
