Johor Sultan's cousin dies in car crash

JOHOR BARU: A second cousin of the Sultan of Johor was killed in an accident at Jalan Lingkaran Dalam, near Danga City Mall at 9.45am today.
Tunku Amal Jakiah Tunku Mohd Archibald, 58, was travelling in a car driven by her 22-year-old daughter when the accident occurred.
Johor police chief Comm Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said the driver rammed into a road divider while trying to avoid another vehicle.
"Tunku Amal Jakiah, who was from Taman Nong Chik, sustained chest injuries and died on the spot," he said in a statement.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for treatment.
