PKR will always defend Pakatan Harapan members: Youth vice-chief

SHAH ALAM: If you are against our friends then you are against us, PKR youth vice-chief Tan Kar Hing (pix) said in reminding Pakatan Harapan of their "old friends" and the "devils" among them.
Tan, in solidarity with fellow parties in Pakatan Harapan, said PKR would defend the opposition coalition against any political adversaries even if the attacks were directed to their political friends.
"Pakatan Harapan is PKR, DAP, Amanah (Parti Amanah Negara) and Bersatu (Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia). Our enemy is Umno-Barisan Nasional.
"Those opposing DAP is our enemy, those opposing Amanah is our enemy, and those opposing Bersatu is our enemy.
"Regardless if they are the devils that we know or our old friends, we will fight until the end to defend Pakatan Harapan," he said in the winding up speech at the PKR youth National Congress at IDCC.
PAS, once part of the opposition coalition, Pakatan Rakyat, broke ranks with its fellow friends DAP and PKR due to disagreement in several policies.
Political observers claim that PAS is now cozying up with Umno after leaving the opposition coalition, a sign seen by many as a prelude to a political cooperation for the next general election.
PAS however denied such notions, stating that the party would only cooperate with Umno on matter concerning the Muslims in Malaysia.
Tan said it was the will of PKR's jailed de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the party to defend the political cooperation in Pakatan Harapan.
