Man beaten up by gang of 15 over affair with married woman

SUNGAI BULOH: A man was beaten up by a group of assailants here over his alleged relationship with a woman who is undergoing a divorce.
Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt S. Somu said police were alerted to the incident around 1am on Saturday at Kampung Paya Jaras Hilir here.
He said a man believed to be the victim's father contacted police and claimed that his son was being attacked by a gang of 15 men.
"The victim’s father, 58, then went to the scene of the incident and found his son lying on the ground surrounded by passers-by," he said in a statement today.
Somu added the victim was beaten up and splashed with hot water.
The 25-year-old victim was rushed to the Sungai Buloh Hospital by his father.
Preliminary investigations found that the victim was in a relationship with a woman who was going through a divorce.
"As our next course of action, we picked up seven locals including the woman's husband.
“According to the medical staff who treated the victim, he suffered second degree burns to his back, shoulders and neck, and also suffered wounds to his face and body but reported in stable condition.
Somu added the seven suspects have been remanded at Shah Alam court to facilitate the investigations.
