MPV belonging to policeman set on fire

IPOH: A Toyota Ipsum multi-purpose vehicle belonging to a police corporal was found ablaze at a car porch of an empty house in Tambun here early today.
According to a police source, the owner of the vehicle and his family members were fast asleep in their house adjacent to the empty unit before they woke up to the smell of smoke about 3.45am.
The incident had resulted in the front portion of the victim's house being razed in the fire causing the family to escape from their unit using the back door, said the source.
Ipoh district police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong said no one was injured in the incident.
"We are still investigating the cause of the fire," he said when contacted by Bernama here.
