Ahmad Zahid to attend breaking-of-fast events around the country

DENGKIL: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is to visit every state in the country during the Ramadan month to attend breaking-of-fast events.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Home Minister, said he and the Home Ministry management would meet officers and staff of agencies under the ministry as well as representatives of NGOs and political parties and all groups of people to foster greater bonding.
"After breaking the fast at one venue, I will attend Isyak and Terawih prayers at a mosque in another venue to meet the people.
"I will go down to the ground on May 28 if we begin our Ramadan fast on May 27,” he said to reporters after attending a lunch and Zohor prayers at the surau of the Bukit Dugang Orang Asli Settlement here today.
He said well-known speaker Syamsul Amri Ismail, better known as Syamsul Debat, would be invited to deliver talks on suitable topics during his visits to the states. — Bernama
