JJPTR trio remanded for two more days (Updated)

TAIPING: Police have obtained a two-day remand order which ends ton Tuesday against JJPTR founder Johnson Lee and two of his associates to facilitate investigations into the investment scheme which suffered financial losses.
Magistrate Sharifah Izura Syed Mashor granted the order at 2pm today.
The trio were brought in a police truck to the court building at 8.25am.
The were represented by Mohd Shukri Ahmad Mansor and G. Jaya Prem Krishnan.
Mohd Shukri said his clients would continue to cooperate with police even if they are released on bail.
Perak Commercial Crime Investigation Department head Supt Lee Ewe Kiang said they were arrested to facilitate investigations after a man lodged a report at the Kamunting police station recently involving a loss of RM4,700 in the investment scheme.
They are being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.
On Sunday, the trio were brought to the Taiping police headquarters from Penang at 7.30pm.
A request to remand them further in Penang was rejected by the magistrate court there.
They were earlier arrested on May 16 and released on police bail in Petaling Jaya on Friday after their remand expired.
However they were re-arrested and handed over to Penang police for further investigations.
