Invest Selangor Berhad holds cycling event

    SHAH ALAM: Invest Selangor Berhad will be organising the "Selangor Industrial Ride 1.0" as part of its unique effort to introduce and promote strategic industrial areas around the city to the public.
    The cycling event, which will be held on July 30 at Panasonic National Sports Complex starting from 6.30am, is expected to be joined by the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah.
    The event is organised with the cooperation from the Invest Selangor Recreational Club and is expected to be joined by more than 1,000 sports enthusiasts.
    Invest Selangor chief executive officer Datuk Hasan Azhari Idris said the cycling event would open up opportunity for participants to get to know the industrial areas in Shah Alam better, as well as to let them participate in a healthy exercise.
    "Until today, about 400 participants had shown their interest and registered for the event," he said.
    "It is hoped that such event will encourage the corporate sector to participate actively in the sports arena in Selangor," he said in his speech at the soft launch of the event at the state secretariat building.
    Also present at the soft launch was the secretary to the state government Datuk Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya.
    Hasan Azhari said the event aimed to stimulate the link between the state government, public and industry players through a healthy competition.
    The Selangor Industrial Ride 1.0 also received cooperation from the Shah Alam City Council, Selangor traffic police and state Public Works Department as technical bodies in the programme.
