Mat Over, David Teo steal attention at NTP presentation

SHAH ALAM: The presence of two controversial figures from the film industry became a subject of hot gossip on social media during the tabling of the National Transformation Programme Annual Report 2016 here tonight and they also caught the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abd Razak.
Najib, who had barely gone seven minutes into his presentation, named Datuk David Teo and Mat Over whose real name is Sulaiman Yasin as examples to emphasise the spirit of unity among the people in Malaysia.
While smiling at Teo and Mat Over who were seated in the front row at Dewan Agong Tuanku Canselor (DATC), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), the Prime Minister said: "I can see Mat Over is present and Mejar David Teo is also present ...both seated together...this is good. "This is what I want as PM and the government also wants to see the people united...so that Malaysia can succeed," he said to thunderous applause of approval from civil servants and guests from the private sector and university students who filled the hall.
Also present was actor Datuk Rosyam Nor who was seated beside David Teo.
When tabling the report, the Prime Minister also called on the people in the country to avoid squabbling and to be good to each other while helping each other for the country to continue enjoying peace and prosperity.
Teo and Mat Over became hot media subjects when they fought in front of Najib during the TN50 Dialogue Session with representatives from the arts industry at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya last week.
