Attempted robbery?

25 May 2017 / 14:40 H.

A WOMAN has shared on her Facebook account, an incident that could have potentially became dangerous.
On May 23, in the evening as she was attending to her baby she heard someone calling from the gates of her home. There was a man ringing her doorbell asking her to come out.
As she had her hands full with her child, she ignored the calls for a while. But soon enough as she went closer to the door she heard sounds of water, almost like it was raining.
There was a stranger calling at her gate, telling her that the water pipes in her porch and the neighbour's house was left open.
True enough, the water pipes in her porch and her neighbour's compound was gushing.
The woman was sure the pipes were not left open before and the man must have climbed over the wall to open it.
"But why would he do that? So that I would go out to close it?" she asked.
She doesn't want to accuse the man of something she is not sure off, but there is no way he could have opened the pipes without jumping into the compound of the houses.
Netizens commented on her post that has since been going viral that similar tactics have been used by robbers before, some even resulting in fatalities.
