'Cum for beer' flyer aimed at tarnishing state tourism industry: Penang CM

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang government has condemned a flyer which was widely spread on social media aimed at smearing a beach hotel's reputation and sabotaging the state's tourism industry.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng (pix) said the flyer, bearing the state Tourism wording and the logo of a beer brand, reads "May has cum and so should you" to mark National Masturbation Month.
The flyer also stated that each participant will receive two free bottles of beers for two "cums".
Lim rubbished the contents of the flyer and said it was a form of slander to tarnish the state's tourism industry.
He said he had instructed the hotel authorities to lodge a report while the state government will do so as well.
"It is an extremist action to incite hatred," he told a press conference after attending the "Rock-A-Duck charity event" at Hard Rock Hotel.
Lim hoped authorities would investigate the matter thoroughly and bring the culprit to justice.
Northeast district police chief ACP Anuar Omar said police were investigating the incident as the hotel spokesman said the flyer was fake.
In another development, Lim denied a report in an English daily today which stated that he said the state government obtained blessings from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak over loans from China's Exim bank.
"Do not put words into my mouth," he stressed.
Penang Gerakan vice-chairman Oh Tong Keong , meanwhile, questioned why there was a huge difference in the number of excos in the state assembly when Lim tabled the loans enactment on Thursday.
In contrast, he said exco members were rarely seen inside the August House when Speaker Datuk Law Choo Kiang presided over the assembly on Tuesday.
"Who has authority in the state assembly now? Lim or Law?," he asked.
