JOHOR BARU: Tebrau Umno Youth today donated essential items to 500 needy people to ease their burden as part of its annual programme during Ramadan.
Its youth chief Datuk Syahrin Jamaluddin said about RM50,000 is allocated every year for the recipients, including single mothers, elderly and orphans.
"We do not only hand over aid but also visit their homes to see their preparations and needs for celebrating Aidilfitri," he said when met at the launch of 13th Ramadan Ziarah programme here today.
The event was officiated by Special Officer to the Prime Minister and Yayasan Perdana Ummah chairman Datuk Rizal Mansor.
Tebrau Umno Youth will also visit Felda Ulu Tebrau; Bandar Ulu Tiram Barat; Bandar Ulu Tiram Timur; Ara Cemerlang polling district centre and those in Desa Jaya; Pelangi Jaya; Puteri Wangsa; Bukita Jaya; Sungai Tiram, Kong Kong and Cahaya Masai. — Bernama
