Police closing in on four robbers over armed hold-up at the Mines

KUALA LUMPUR: The police are closing in on four men linked to an armed robbery in a jewellery shop at The Mines, Seri Kembangan near here last night.
Serdang police acting chief Supt Lee Wai Leong said the robbers wore full-face helmets, with two of them armed with pistols when they stormed the premises about 7.30pm.
He said while one of them held the security guard manning the premises at gunpoint, his accomplices smashed the display showcases, scooped an assortment of jewellery and escaped.
Lee added the police would review the closed-circuit television cameras at the premises to facilitate investigations.
"There were five employees including the security guard during the hold-up," he said. — Bernama
