Police discover drugs while investigating into forklift theft case

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Police detained four men believed to be involved in drug trafficking after the discovery of drugs and drug-packaging paraphernalia at a house here yesterday while investigating a forklift theft case at a factory in Bukit Tengah here.
Seberang Perai Tengah district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said three of the suspects, aged between 33 and 43, were picked up at the house about 3.30pm following the arrest of their accomplice, aged 49, in Jalan Padang Lalang four hours earlier.
"Among the seized drugs were Eramin 5 pills, heroin and ketamine. Police also seized various drug-packaging paraphernalia over there. The men are believed to be members of a drug syndicate in the district," he said here today.
Nik Ros Azhan said police managed to recover the forklift at a lorry storage place here and the suspects were being remanded for five days to facilitate investigation. — Bernama
